Deutsche Internationale Schule Pretoria (Oktoberfest 2024 Helper Booking System)
Overview
The Oktoberfest 2024 Helper Booking System is a system that allows parents and Alumni to book a time slot for helpers at the Oktoberfest 2024 event.
Previous years we only used Airtable to manage this entire process.
Due to added complexity of the event, we decided in 2024 develop our own system which sends data to Airtable, airtable does a few automations and then sends emails to the helpers confirming their booking.
MongoDB was used to keep track of the number of bookings for each time slot.
Page is written in Vue.js and Tailwind CSS and hosted locally on a Linux server, Airtable and MongoDB are use as a backend.
